Having been awarded the contract to carry out both the internal decorations to the main office suite and the external redecorations to all the business units, works are now completed within the 5 week schedule anticipated

Works consisted of the preparation and painting to all fascia’s and soffits along with windows and doors to each individual business unit of the business park.

Considerable preparation was required to a vast number of timber surfaces to the 118 individual business units predominately to the window and fascia boards that were badly weathered and required further remedial works due to lack of maintenance.

As with any painting programme, preparation and the use of premium suitable products is paramount to ensure a long term protective and decorative redecoration was achieved

Preparation to the external business units consisted of Removing all loose flaking paint and scraping back to a sound edge

Sanding all surfaces with suitable grit papers to ensure a good surface key is achieved for the new paint coating.

Filling all timber surface defects with premium external fillers and spot priming with Johnstone’s primer

All bare timbers were treated with primers suitable Surfaces then received one full coat of Johnstone’sStorm-Shield external flexi undercoat and one full coat of Johnstone’s Storm-Shield external flexi gloss topcoat

Remedial repairs to rotted or decayed timber surfaces were repaired using modern day resin fillers that provides for a twenty-year performance guarantee and was far more cost effective than replacing any timbers

Following remedial repairs all repaired surfaces were spot primed and re-coated with Johnstone’s storm-shield external flexi paint system that will provide a long lasting redecoration and gives the client a 5year performance guarantee.

End Result a very happy customer
